My 11-year-old daughter, Megan, drew this picture using markers. I love the colors, the bold lines, the rainbow and the flag especially. Thank you, Meg, for sharing your art with me. God is so good! :)

Hi Mel!

Lovely drawing!

You understand a persons mood and thinking from the drawing.

This is my analysis:

Flag stands for freedom, independence, dignity and pride;
Rainbow stands for happiness,peace;
The fruit tree indicates productivity.

Kindly congratulate Meg on my behalf and ask her what was in her mind at the time of drawing just to cross check whether my assumtions are correct.

Have a wonderful day!

Hi again, Joseph!

I spoke to my daughter about what she was thinking about when she was drawing this picture. She said she was feeling sad when she started drawing it and that's why she drew the purple mountains. But as she began to feel better she added the tree and rainbow, and she said she drew the flag because she likes flags. I'm sure there's way more to what she was thinking and feeling than that, but even though she didn't elaborate further, I think she enjoyed being asked. I showed her your comment and Fred's comment and she was delighted. :)

Blessings!

Hello Mel!

Many thanks for discussing my comments with your daughter. Apparently my thinking and her thoughts were vastly different. I suppose this is what we call as generation gap!

Have a nice day!
