The top three pictures were drawn by my daughter Linnea. The bottom one was done by my daughter Megan. These pictures brighten my day. I'm glad they share them with me still, and that they allow me to post them on this blog.

Very lovely colorful drawings!
All these drawings are the result of fertile imagination and they tell a story by themselves.
The first picture tells me that the pretty girl is a princess guarded by a dragon. She looks sweet but she is very tough and woe to any one who troubles her. The big broad sword she is having is very sharp and she is an expert in sword fighting.
The second and third drawings show how the small fishes, big fishes, jelly fish, octopus, shark, porpoise etc live happily and peacefully without hurting each other and sharing what is available.
The last drawing shows abundant rains over the mountains, the sun coming up and a beautiful rainbow spreading across the sky making everyone happy.

Hope you don't mind me commenting "off topic". You have been on my heart for 2 days after I read your comments on Fred's Blog and on Crowbar Massage.
Your struggle is not uncommon and yet it is unique to you. My desire is that you not err on either side--which can result in either guilt crippling you, or the opposite, becoming numb to a godly and good sorrow over sin.
I don't know you well enough to form anything close to an accurate assessment of your spiritual condition and your understanding of the whole counsel of God. I will tell you that some of the books you list on your blog profile can promote a "man-centered" faith and make us focus too much on SELF. It is not about US, it is ALL about Christ.

Sorry it took so long to respond. You asked if I have ever read, "Fight like a Girl". No I have not. I have read the reviews and can honestly tell you that I would not be interested.
It is probably a fine book. I am simply more interested in learning about God than I am about "learning about being a woman" in this crazy mixed up culture.
So little time for reading and so hungry to know Him well enough to "Paint His beauty into the soul of a man, one brushstroke at a time." I simply must prioritize.

These paintings are really good and I have to say the way Joseph interprets them betrays my shallow observation. I sure hope you share his thoughts about their work with them. I am caught by the bold, bright colors which wisk me away somewhere fun, but now I am eager to know your children's thoughts.
