I enjoyed looking at the photos which was a visual treat.
All of you look very happy and thrilled celebrating the birthday. I can see a big smile on your dad's face. He looks very happy, contented, satisfied and thrilled to be with the family. I felt so happy to see all the lovely, bright, beaming smiles on all your faces.
Lovely cake too. I wish I was there to wish your daddy HAPPY BIRTHDAY and have a small piece of that delicious cake:)
It was very thoughtful of you to freeze those precious moments for eternity and share it with all of us. God bless your daddy and give him a long life full of health and happiness.
The church looks magnificent and as I told you earlier the stained glass windows always fascinated me and transported me to a wonderland.
The photo of Mother Mary holding the body of lifeless Jesus made feel very, very sad and terribly upset.Only a mother can feel the severe pain that breaks her heart into pieces when she holds the dead body of her precious son in her lap and shedding silent tears. This cannot be explained but can be felt if we put ourselves in the shoes of Mother Mary. Tears will come to our eyes automatically. No one will wish such a thing to happen to any one, even the deadliest enemy. I hope you have seen the movie PASSION OF CHRIST.
The marmot looks cute and posed for you very sweetly.
This post made me happy, made me feel terribly sad and the last photo delighted me. In other words, this post of yourS is so wonderful that it made me go through a range of emotions and feelings which only humans are capable of. PRAISE THE LORD!

Looks like a delish' cake! (even if I don't eat chocolate!)
So nice to see you and the kids with your dad 'beaming' with happiness.
I was meaning to tell you that I began to watch a tv programme (fiction thriller) the other night and it was about some hunters and a freak-event in the surrounding mountains around Spokane... I just saw a sign that said '20 miles to Spokane'. It was about to be hunting season and all the people were driving up there... and the rest. Are you really surrounded by that many mountains and forests (maybe pine)? It looked lovely :)
When I get some more time I shall have to take some photos of here. It will likely happen after this Saturday ~ after my exam.
Hope you and your family are well, we are due for the first season snow tonight.. brrr...

I love birthdays! Happy belated birthday to your dad!
The birthday pictures are wonderful...everyone is so happy in their celebrating. Aren't grandparents such an incredible gift? I was very fortunate to be able to know 4 grandparents in my lifetime and they all left indelible marks on my character! I'm so glad to know that your children have them too.
The pictures inside the church are incredible as well. I'm thinking that I need to start visiting some myself. They all have a way of telling their own unique story, don't they? I love stained glass, it is just mesmerizing.

You don't eat chocolate? Is it because you don't like it, or because you can't for some reason?
Yes, Spokane is surrounded by mountains covered with pine trees. I love it. Having spent some time in a desert environment full of sagebrush, after living here, I never again want to live in a place that's not surrounded with and saturated by trees of all kinds. I love them!
So, did it end up snowing? Do you like snow? :)

I'm glad my comments are a blessing to you. Your comments are a blessing to me, too. :) You're right, grandparents are a special blessing. I didn't have much of a relationship with most of my grandparents, but I'm very grateful that you did, and that my children are. We need the influence and presence of the older generations, who have gone before us and lived to tell about it. :)
